❌ How to Cancel Your Subscription
❗ IMPORTANT: Due to App Store regulations, you cannot cancel your subscription through the Perlego app or App Store, only in a browser.
We’re sorry to see you go, but if you want to cancel your subscription you just need to follow the below steps:
1. Click on the blue square with your first initial in the top-right corner
2. Select 'Settings' from the drop-down
3. Click on the 'Account' tab, just like in the image below
4. Click on the 'Cancel Subscription' button
5. Click 'Confirm Cancel'
6. ✉️ Check your email to make sure you've received confirmation of the cancellation.
👋 A Few Helpful Notes about Cancelling:
✉️ Once you've completed your cancellation you'll receive an email from us to confirm. If you don't receive an email from us, please reach out to our Support Team and they'll be happy to confirm if your subscription has been cancelled.
Your subscription will continue until your next payment is due to make sure you get the most out of your billing period, but you won't be charged again.
For example, if your payment is due on the 13th of each month and you cancel on January 14th, you will still have access to your subscription until February. 12th.

We always recommend cancelling your subscription before your next payment to avoid any unwanted charges.
Please remember, payments will automatically be taken at the start of each billing cycle until your subscription is cancelled.
❓ Will I Lose Everything in my Account such as Notes, Highlights, and Workspaces?
No!
If you cancel your subscription, you won't be able to access any of the books you were reading before but you can sign back in and reactivate your subscription anytime.
Your notes, highlights, Workspaces and so forth will all be there as you left them 💪 📚
To reactivate your subscription, all you need to do is log into your account, click reactivate in your settings and confirm your payment details.
Note: If you delete your account after cancelling, you will lose all of your saved account data, and this will not be recoverable.
💰 Am I Eligible for a Refund?
Refunds are not automatic and can only be processed by our Customer Support team.
Provided you are within our 14-day refund policy, we're happy to offer a refund 😊.

🤔 I Don't See an Option to Cancel
This is either because you are on the app or your account is being freely provided by a university or institution.
📱 App
If you are on the app, you will need to log in to Perlego on a browser and follow the instructions at the beginning of this article.
Note: you can still cancel from your mobile browser, just not the Perlego app itself.
🏛️ University or Institution-Provided Subscription
If your account is provided by a university or institution, there is no option to cancel. Your access will automatically expire after a year (unless stated otherwise).
However, if you'd like for your subscription to be cancelled right away, please reach out to the organisation that created your account and let them know you'd like to revoke your access.
Note: Your payment method is not linked to your account, so you will never be charged for an institution-provided account unless you chose to renew your subscription after your free access has expired. If you do this, then you'll be required to provide a payment method and agree to new terms and conditions.
🗑️ How to Delete Your Account
Once you've cancelled your subscription, you can delete your account from your settings.
Go to the Account tab of your settings.
Make sure your subscription is cancelled first. When you no longer have an active subscription, the option to delete account will appear in place of the cancellation button.
Click on 'Delete account.'
Once your account has been deleted you won't be able to reactivate your account but you can subscribe to Perlego again.
Note: If you delete your account after cancelling, you will lose all of your saved account data, and this will not be recoverable.
