🗑️ Delete account
After you've cancelled your subscription, you can delete your account from your settings.

Frequently asked questions
Can I have a refund?
Refunds are not automatic and can only be processed by our customer support team.
Provided you are within our 14 day refund policy, we're happy to offer a refund - just reach out via live chat or email [email protected]
How can I be sure it was cancelled?
✉️ Check your email for further confirmation. If you haven't received an email from us, please reach out via live chat or email [email protected]
Will I be charged again?
No, you will NOT be charged after cancelling your subscription.
Immediately after requesting a subscription cancellation, you will no longer be billed for future cycles.
Perlego subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before your next billing date. This automatic renewal is disclosed in the Terms and Conditions and on the subscription pricing page. To avoid unintended charges, make sure your cancellation is completed before your renewal date.
Ensure that no future charges will be applied to your payment method by verifying the cancellation status under Account settings in the Payment tab.
Does access to my subscription end immediately after cancelling?
You will still have access until the end of your paid billing cycle, so you don't miss out on the time you already paid for.
For example, if your payment is due on the 13th of each month and you cancel on January 14th, you will still have access to your subscription until February 13th.
We recommend cancelling your subscription before your next payment to avoid any unwanted charges.
If you'd like to cancel your subscription with immediate effect, please reach out to our support team at [email protected]
What happens to all of my reading progress, lists, highlights, and notes after I cancel?
Sign back in on a browser anytime to access your library, save books, add to Bookshelves, and reactivate your subscription. While cancelled, you will not be able to continue reading any book on Perlego.
Once you reactivate, your saved notes, highlights and so forth will all be right where you left them 📚🔏
Can I keep reading the books I downloaded after my subscription is cancelled?
Just like with Netflix and other subscription services, you will only have access to the books you have downloaded and read for as long as you have an active subscription with Perlego.
However, if you decide to cancel, you can always reactivate later!
Can I skip a month?
Yes, you can! Click here to learn how.
Can I switch plans?
Yes, anytime! Click here for more details
What happens if I delete my account?
If you delete your account after cancelling, you will lose all of your saved account data, and this will not be recoverable.
Troubleshooting
Have a university or institution-provided subscription?
If your account is provided by a university or institution, there is no option to cancel. Your access will automatically expire after a year (unless stated otherwise).
However, if you'd like for your subscription to be cancelled right away, please reach out to the organisation that created your account and let them know you'd like to revoke your access.
Note: Your payment method is not linked to your account, so you will never be charged for an institution-provided account unless you chose to renew your subscription after your free access has expired. If you do this, then you'll be required to provide a payment method and agree to new terms and conditions.
Are you on the website?
If you are on the app, you will need to log in to Perlego on a browser and follow the instructions at the beginning of this article.
You can still cancel from your mobile browser, just not the Perlego app itself.
Try another email.
If you're logged in but can't see how to cancel, you're likely in an account that doesn't have an active subscription. Or, your active subscription might be linked to a different email address (perhaps with a spelling mistake or expired inbox).
Look for payment prompts: if you're asked to pay or 'reactivate' your subscription, you're currently in an account without an active plan.
If you'd like, you can delete this inactive account by going to the bottom of your Settings page and choosing 'Delete account'.
Check your email inboxes: search all your email accounts (including spam/junk) for emails from Perlego. Look for subscription confirmations or account notices. The email address getting these is probably the one linked to your active subscription.
Review bank statements: your bank or credit card statements for Perlego payments might show the email address used for the subscription.
Can't find your subscription?
If you've tried the steps suggested above and still can't find the account linked to your active subscription, we're here to help! Please contact our customer support team. The more details you can give us, the faster we can find your account:
The email address(es) you might have used to sign up.
The full name on the account and/or payment method.
The date you were last charged.
The last four digits of the card used for payment.
The type of plan you signed up for (e.g., monthly, annual, semester).
Any receipt/invoice IDs from your bank statement.
I've been charged after I already cancelled.
Check to be sure you cancelled from the website directly - not in app, app store, phone settings, or by selecting 'unsubscribe from emails' link in marketing emails - as these methods will not work.
Please reach out to our customer support team via [email protected] or live chat with the following information and we'll be happy to help:
your full name or name on account
email address linked to your Perlego account
last 4 digits of the card charged
date of the most recent transaction
amount charged
type of card (Mastercard, VISA, etc.)
expiry date of card
In the meantime, it may also help to check if you have any other emails linked to a different account on Perlego.
