Been invited to Perlego from your uni or institution? Here's how to sign up for your Perlego subscription

Updated over a week ago

How do I sign up for a Perlego subscription through my University or Institution?

Good news, your University or Institution has invited you to join Perlego for easy access to over 1 million textbooks, for free 🎉

Your institution will either share an access link with your, post it on their library website or they’ll email you an invite from Perlego.

If they invite you by email you’ll receive a Perlego email from your University or Institution which includes a link to your group registration homepage. If you haven’t received an email or access link, reach out to your University or Institution and ask them to resend your invitation.

Click on the link provided, the registration code should be pre-populated, and complete the signup flow. For institutions that use single sign on, such as Shibboleth, OpenAthens, Microsoft or Okta, you will be prompted to enter your single-sign on credentials.

You’ll now have access to thousands of textbooks and hand-curated reading lists from your University or Institution 📚

Having trouble signing up?

Make sure you’re using the sign-up link provided by your university or institution.

If you’re seeing a message that says you already have a subscription with Perlego, you’ll need to log into your Perlego account, cancel your subscription in your settings and delete your account.

Once deleted, you can return to the sign-up link provided by your uni or institution and complete your new subscription.

We wouldn’t want you to lose any existing notes or highlights, so if you’d like to keep these, please read this FAQ to find out how to convert your subscription.

What should I do if I’ve forgotten my password?

If you’ve forgotten your password, click on the reset your password option. You will then receive an email from Perlego with a security code and a link to create a new password.

If your institution requires you to use single sign-on to login, such as via Shibboleth, OpenAthens, Microsoft or Okta, the password reset page within Perlego will not work for you.

If you have forgotten your single sign on password you will need to contact your institution or university administrator to reset it.

What should I do if my subscription has been paused or revoked by my institution?

If your subscription has been paused or revoked, reach out to your institution or university and they’ll be able to provide more information and look into reactivating your subscription.
