Reset your password

Forgotten password? Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to reset it, what to do if the email doesn't arrive, and passcode requirements.

Step by step

  1. Go to the Password Reset page

  2. Enter the email you used to sign up

  3. Check your inbox - you should shortly receive an email with subject line 'Password Reset'

  4. Copy the code in the email and paste it in the box

  5. Create a new memorable password


Password requirements

  • Length: 8 – 50 characters

  • Must include:

    • ≥ 1 letter

    • ≥ 1 number

    • ≥ 1 special character

  • Must not contain whitespace-only or control characters.

  • Must not be easy to guess (first name, last name, ‘Perlego’, ‘password’)


Troubleshooting

I didn't receive the Password Reset email

The 'Password Reset' email may have ended in your 'Promotions', 'Updates or 'Spam' folders in your email provider. Have a look there to see if you can find it.

If you still can't find the 'Password Reset' email anywhere, it might have been sent to another email address altogether. Check your other email addresses in case it ended up there.

My password isn't being recognised

We've just found a small bug that's causing issues with passwords that include a + or - symbol. While we're looking into this, please reset your password and avoid using +/- symbols in your new password 🙏

Single Sign-on

If you have a subscription through your institution or university and you use single sign-on to login, such as via Shibboleth, OpenAthens, Microsoft or Okta, the password reset page within Perlego will not work for you.

If you have forgotten your single sign on password you will need to contact your institution or university administrator to reset it.
