đŸ§‘â€đŸ’» Access Perlego using your organisation’s registration link

Been invited to Perlego by your uni or institution? Here's how to register for your Perlego subscription

Updated over a month ago

Step 1: Locate the registration link from your organisation

  • What to look for: Your organisation (such as your university, college, or workplace institution) should have provided you with a registration link via email or posted it on your student portal. This link is essential, as it connects your account to the organisation’s subscription.

Tip: It’s important to sign up for Perlego by following the instructions provided in this link. If you haven’t received it, check your spam or junk folders, or contact your institution’s administrator or IT team for help.

Step 2: Open the registration link

  • How to use: Once you’ve located the link, click on it to start the registration process. This link will direct you to a Perlego sign-up page tailored to your institution.

  • For institutions that use single sign on, such as Shibboleth, OpenAthens, Microsoft or Okta, you will be prompted to enter your single-sign-on credentials after clicking 'create your account'.

To note:

  • Only use the specific link provided by your organisation to ensure you’re properly connected to the correct account

  • Ensure the email address you’re entering is valid and that you have full access to the inbox to receive important notifications. This will allow you to receive the 2FA verification code and change or reset your password in the future if needed.

Step 3: Set up your preferences

After entering your credentials, you will see the following message on your screen:

Having trouble signing up?

Make sure you’re using the sign-up link provided by your university or institution.

If you’re seeing a message that says you already have a subscription with Perlego, you’ll need to log into your Perlego account, cancel your subscription in your settings and delete your account.

Once deleted, you can return to the sign-up link provided by your uni or institution and complete your new subscription.

We wouldn’t want you to lose any existing notes or highlights, so if you’d like to keep these, please read this FAQ to find out how to convert your subscription.

Already have an account?

If you already have an existing Perlego account (even if the subscription is expired) you may be prompted to link it to your organisation’s subscription. In this case, please contact your institution’s administrator or IT team for assistance; they can raise a ticket within their organisation’s subscription manager for us to transfer your subscription to your organisation’s Perlego plan.

What should I do if I’ve forgotten my password?

If you’ve forgotten your password, click on the reset your password option. You will then receive an email from Perlego with a security code and a link to create a new password.

If your institution requires you to use single sign-on to login, such as via Shibboleth, OpenAthens, Microsoft or Okta, the password reset page within Perlego will not work for you.

If you have forgotten your single sign on password you will need to contact your institution or university administrator to reset it.

What should I do if my subscription has been paused or revoked by my institution?

If your subscription has been paused or revoked, reach out to your institution or university and they’ll be able to provide more information and look into reactivating your subscription.
