How to pause your subscription

Skip your next month by selecting Pause subscription from the Subscription tab in your account settings.

  1. Go to the Subscription tab in your account settings on the website

  2. Tap the dropdown next to Manage

  3. Select Pause subscription

  4. Confirm in pop-up by selecting Yes, skip next month

  • Regular Account Monitoring: proactively check your account settings to ensure everything is up-to-date.

  • Set Calendar Notices: use digital tools to set reminders for key subscription-related dates such as renewal or pause expiration.

What happens when my subscription is paused?

Your pause will begin at the end of your current billing period, which is indicated once you select pause.

During this time, your subscription will remain inactive, and you will not be charged.

After 1-month your subscription will automatically reactivate unless you choose to skip another month in the email you receive 3 days before the reactivation. This email will remind you about the upcoming reactivation and provide options to manage your subscription, including extending the pause period.

Additionally, it is advised to regularly monitor both your inbox and spam folders for these notifications to ensure you don't miss them.

What happens when my subscription resumes?

When your pause period ends, your membership auto-renews for your regular monthly payment until cancelled.

How do I extend the pause for another month?

You can choose to skip another month in the email you receive 3 days before the reactivation. This notification email will include a direct option to extend your pause period for another month, ensuring you stay in full control of your subscription timing.

To further optimise your subscription management, consider setting personal reminders for important events like reactivation and regularly review your email for subscription-related notifications.

Can I cancel after I've paused?

Yes. You can choose to cancel instead of resuming or skipping another month in the email you receive 3 days before the reactivation. The notification email provides a clear option to cancel during this time, making the process straightforward and easily accessible.

Why don’t I see the option to pause my subscription?

Pausing may not be available, depending on the type of subscription you have or the payment method you use. In general, if you don’t see the option to Pause subscription in your subscription settings, then you will not be able to pause your subscription with Perlego. If you believe this is an error, consider reaching out to Perlego Support for assistance and clarification.

What to do if I don't receive the email notification?

If you don’t receive the notification email, follow these steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Check your spam or junk folders: sometimes, emails may be filtered into these folders.

  2. Verify your email address in account settings: ensure the contact email linked to your account is correct and up to date.

  3. Regularly check email folders: Make it a habit to monitor your inbox and spam/junk folders for Perlego communication.

  4. Set personal email alerts: If possible, use calendar alerts or other tools to ensure you stay updated about crucial subscription dates.
