What content can you add to your Bookshelf?

You can, of course, add books from the Perlego library as well as any website link and cloud-based document; ensure your privacy/ sharing settings are public before adding them to your Bookshelf. Adding content is only possible on the website at the moment, but you can view the content added on the app.

Content examples:

📓 Books on Perlego

🔗 Online articles or websites

📃 PDF's hosted on websites or in cloud storage such as Google Drive, Dropbox, etc

📁 Presentations, documents & spreadsheets hosted on Google Docs, Microsoft OneDrive etc

▶️ Videos from YouTube, Vimeo, TedTalk, TikToks, etc

🔈 Audio from Spotify, SoundCloud, etc

Note: Known piracy websites are blocked and the content will not render

⚠️ Please remember: by adding content, you are accepting our Content Policy. We have a strict, no pirated and harmful content policy. If you do not follow these rules, we will have to remove the content. We also rely on community moderation, so please report any content you consider to violate our policy. 📚 Add books from Perlego

You can either:

01: Search our library and add books to your Bookshelf directly from the dropdown menu on the book cover or book page.

02: Copy the URL of any book on Perlego and paste the link into the text field provided.


🔗 Website links, audio & video content:

Step 01: Copy the link from the content you want to add​

Step 02: Paste it into the text field - it's simple as that!​


📃 How to add PDFs, presentations, spreadsheets & other docs


📄 PDFs & images


Step 01: Save the PDF or image on Google Drive, Dropbox or any cloud-based storage platform.


Step 02: Once saved, change your share settings to 'public'/ 'anyone with a link can view'.


Step 03: Copy the link and paste it into the 'Add external content' text field.


📁 Presentations, spreadsheets, & other docs

Step 01: If created on Google docs/slides/sheets or any other cloud-based software, you can add it to your Bookshelf

Step 02: Make sure you change your share settings to 'public'/ 'anyone with a link can view'.


Step 03: Copy the link and paste it into the 'Add external content' text field.


What if I get an error?

If you try to add a document that's privacy/sharing settings are not public, we will be unable to add the content. If you try to add the same link again, it'll be blocked for 1 hour; please try again once this time has passed.
