📂 Organise your Bookshelves
As well as the book suggestions we share with you on your home page, you can also curate your own reading lists for each subject in your bookshelves so you can collect, name, organise and share your learning resources.
How do I create a bookshelf?
To create a new bookshelf, just click the + icon in your sidebar next to ‘My Bookshelves’ or click on the drop-down arrow in the corner of any book. Add a title and description to define your bookshelf and * taa-daa * your new bookshelf will save in your side-navigation.
Can I customise the order of the content in my bookshelf?
Use the ⬆️ up and down ⬇️ arrow icons next to each resource within your selected bookshelf to rearrange the order however you’d like.
Can I add notes to my bookshelf?
When the bookshelf page is open, you can add notes to all your content! Have a favourite quote? What about a key essay point? Just select the three dots to add your note 📝

🤷 How do I add content to a bookshelf?
Perlego Books
On your home page, library or search results, click the drop-down arrow in the corner of any book
Select which bookshelf you’d like to add a book to (or create a new one)
On the book page, click on the drop-down arrow next to ‘Want to read’
Select the bookshelf you’d like to add a book to (or create a new one)
External Content
Click on "Add Content" in the top-right corner of your bookshelf
A pop-up will appear where you can paste the link to your content

🗑 How do I remove content from a bookshelf?
Perlego Books
In the bookshelf, click on the three dots next to ‘Continue Reading’ and select ‘Remove book’.
In your library, click the drop-down arrow in the corner of the book you want to remove, and select which bookshelf you’d like to remove it from,
On a book’s information page, click on the drop-down arrow next to ‘Want to Read’
Select the bookshelf you’d like to remove it from.
External Content
In the bookshelf, next to the content you want to remove click the three dots
Select ‘Remove content’.
🔗 How do I share my bookshelf?
You can invite people to view your bookshelf either by email or by sharing a direct link to your bookshelf by clicking on the 'Share' button in the right-hand corner of your bookshelf. You can then choose whether you'd like anyone with a link to be able to view your bookshelf, or you can keep it private by selecting only invited users. Once you've invited someone they'll have 30 days to accept their invitation. You can then manage who has access to your bookshelf by removing anyone who no longer needs access.

Your Notebook organises your notes and highlights from across the Perlego library, all in one place.
🖍 Write a note - Write notes and make highlights as you’re reading and you’ll find them in your Notebook.
🔍 Find easily - Filter by book or highlight colour to find the notes you need.
🌟 Review - View your notes in context by opening them up in the book.
You can also sort your notes and highlights however works best for you, whether that's with your most recent at the top, or how they appear in order within the book.

Can I export/import my notes?
Not yet... We do know that this is what our learners want to see though, so we're working on adding it next 👀
Can I copy the notes from my Notebook?
Absolutely! Your notes are your own learning content, and you can copy them to wherever you need to use them.
Can I export or copy my highlights?
Currently you won't be able to copy or export highlights from your Notebook, but we're looking into how we can make this possible while respecting copyright restrictions. You'll still be able to copy up to 10% of any book directly from the reader though.
Is my Notebook available in the Perlego app?
You won't be able to access your Notebook through the Perlego app yet, but any highlights you make while reading on the app will still be stored for when you reopen the Notebook on your browser. Notebook is also not yet available on native apps.
Is my Notebook available offline?
No, you'll need a stable internet connection to use your Notebook.
What happens to my highlights & notes if a book leaves the library?
If a book leaves the Perlego library, you'll still be able to access your notes in your Notebook, but you won't be able to see any of the highlights you made.
We'll always do our best to give you at least 30 days' notice if a book is going to leave the library. We'll also save your highlight data so if the book ever gets re-added, you'll be able to pick up right where you left off.
