Please note, this is a tour of our web version of Perlego.
📜 Perlego's Curated Home Page
Based on the topics you select in your profile, what’s trending, and new additions, your home page will be crafted to show you curated reading lists that rotate on a regular basis 📚
Don’t see what you’re looking for? You can use our search function and filters to find even more reading lists that may be of interest.
📚 Search for Books
🔎 Use Search Filters to Strengthen your Research
Narrow your search by topic, publisher, publication date, language, and more!
All you have to do is click on the search bar 🔎 to see the options appear
📑 Keep Tabs on your Activity
Your library has three built-in folders named Want to Read, Reading and Completed. If you open a book it will automatically fall into Reading, but you can personalise and move your books around however you’d like.
You can quickly add or remove books from these sections directly from the search results page or the book page. Just use the drop-down menu on the book cover on the web to view options.
Navigate to Home to see these sections in action on the left-hand side of the page and track your progress 💪
Once you're done reading a book, store it in your Completed list for a record of your reading history.

As well as the book suggestions we share with you on your home page, you can also curate your own reading lists for each subject in your Workspaces so you can collect, name, organise and share your learning resources.

📄 Pre-Class Assignments
You can set chapter-specific assigned reading for your students from books on Perlego. Once you've found the ideal chapter for your class, you can now share it easily to ensure students can find the right content easily and complete the readings before the start of the lesson!
You can access your assignments by visiting "My Workspaces" in the bar on the left. You will be able to create the Pre-Class assignments space and create a list of readings.
Follow the steps below or watch the video in the previous section.
Create a workspace for your class or course.
Invite your students/participants to the workspace. You can do this with their emails by adding them individually to view the list, or simply copy the link and share it, they will then get access to the list.
Add the relevant content/resources to the workspace for the class/course.
Now click the “Create assignment” button using one of the books you added to the workspace to start creating a reading assignment for that book.
Give your assignment a title.
Go to the next step and select the chapter(s)/subchapter(s) that you would like to assign to the participants.
Go to the next step and then give the assignment a due date.
Then on the same step you can give the assignment a set of instructions that will be visible to the participants (optional).
Once you are happy with the assignment you have created, click "Confirm and Publish".
You will then be redirected back to the workspace where you can see the assignment you have just created. The assignment should appear at the top of the "Assignments" tab.
To see who has read the assignment and the level of completion, click on the three dot button on the card and select “View insights” from the menu.

❓ Notebook FAQs
Can I export/import my notes?
Not yet... We do know that this is what our learners want to see though, so we're working on adding it next 👀
Can I copy the notes from my Notebook?
Absolutely! Your notes are your own learning content, and you can copy them to wherever you need to use them.
Can I export or copy my highlights?
Currently you won't be able to copy or export highlights from your Notebook, but we're looking into how we can make this possible while respecting copyright restrictions. You'll still be able to copy up to 10% of any book directly from the eReader though.
Is my Notebook available in the Perlego app?
You won't be able to access your Notebook through the Perlego app yet, but any highlights you make while reading on the app will still be stored for when you reopen the Notebook on your browser. Notebook is also not yet available on native apps.
Is my Notebook available offline?
No, you'll need a stable internet connection to use your Notebook.
What happens to my highlights & notes if a book leaves the library?
If a book leaves the Perlego library, you'll still be able to access your notes in your Notebook, but you won't be able to see any of the highlights you made.
We'll always do our best to give you at least 30 days' notice if a book is going to leave the library. We'll also save your highlight data so if the book ever gets re-added, you'll be able to pick up right where you left off.
