Copy text 📑

Selected text in a document with a floating annotation toolbar (color dots and action icons); a tooltip above reads “Copy text ⌘ + C.”

You can copy up to 10% of any book on Perlego. Here's how:

  1. Select the text you'd like to copy

  2. Choose 📑 'Copy text' from the panel that appears below

  3. You can then paste the text on a document outside of Perlego

    • Keyboard shortcuts:

      • MAC = CMD + V

      • PC = CTRL + V

There is a limit of 10% due to copyright laws and publisher rights.

Note: we can not reset or change it upon request.

Copying is only available on laptop or desktop browsers only at the moment. Rest assured we are working on making this mobile 📱🛠️

Copy note …

Step by step

A highlighted note snippet on a purple background with a right-click menu showing “Copy note” (selected) and “Delete,” next to a cursor arrow.
  1. Click on Notes & highlights in the left-hand navigation panel

  2. Select the … ellipses next to the note

  3. Click 'Copy note'

From there the note will be copied for you to paste wherever you'd like.

Why can I only copy 10% of a book?

To prevent plagiarism and abide by copyright laws, you can only copy and paste up to 10% of each book you’re reading. Once you’ve reached your limit, we’ll let you know.

Important: you won’t be able to copy and paste any more text from the book once you’ve reached your limit and you cannot remove any previous copies, so be mindful about which pieces of text are really important to you.
