Participating in your school's Equitable Access program is straightforward and designed to ensure you have all the necessary course materials from day one. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you navigate the process:
Enroll in Your Courses: Register for your classes as usual. Information about the Equitable Access program may then be communicated through your course schedule, professor's webpage, or your institution's Learning Management System (LMS).
Access Course Materials Information: Details about your required materials, including participation notes and formats, will be available on your institution's designated platform. Your university or college may also provide additional information on their official websites.
Obtain Digital Materials: Digital resources (like those on Perlego), can be accessed through links within your LMS, direct emails to your academic email address, or instructions provided by your instructor for accessing publisher-specific platforms.
Some materials may require activation codes, which should be sent directly to your email or provided as physical codes to be picked up at the campus store.
Collect Physical Materials: If your program includes physical materials, you'll receive an email notification from your campus store informing you when and where to pick them up, typically at the bookstore or another designated location on campus.
Understand Opt-Out Deadlines: A specific deadline, known as the Census or Last Date to process drops, will be established and communicated by your school. This date is crucial if you wish to drop a course or opt out of the program for a full refund of course materials charges.
If an opt-out option is available, you must do so before this deadline. Opting out means you'll need to acquire your course materials independently.
You will receive an email with links and instructions to your program’s opt-out process. Alternatively, your campus may provide specific directions on how to request an opt-out.
For physical materials, contact your bookstore to confirm the return and opt-out process. Ensure you follow any additional instructions provided to finalize your opt-out request.
Please note, this is not done through Perlego, but must be processed through your EA provider.
If you choose to remain in the program and do not opt-out, you will be billed to you by your university or college.
