Follow the instructions below depending on where you're accessing the book.

Search-within-book: Perfect for all your researching needs, look for the magnifying glass icon on the left sidebar, type in your keyword or phrase and you'll find a list of results for all the places it's mentioned in the book.

Highlights: Click on the word you want to start the highlight with and drag to where you would like the highlight to finish. A colour palette will appear where you can choose a colour for your highlight. Check out this article on how to use the feature: How do I highlight?

Annotations: If you want to make a note, begin as if you are highlighting a section of text. When the colour palette appears there will be an option to make a note.

Bookmarks: Was there a really interesting section you would like to refer back to? Then use the bookmark! Just click on the bookmark icon on the left-hand side of the page. Check out this article on how to use the feature: How do I bookmark a page?

Referencing: To generate a reference click on the quotation marks on the left-hand side bar in the eReader and choose from 21 different styles. Check out this article on how to use the feature: How do I reference an ePUB on Perlego?

Copy and Paste: You can copy and paste up to 10% of a book to where you need it. You can also copy and paste the notes you've made within a book. Check out this article on how to use the feature: How do I copy and paste within a book?

Share location: You can now share your locations in a book with your friends and classmates. Check out this article on how to use the feature: How can I share an exact location within a book?

Customisation: from sepia to night mode, we have a range of background colour choices to protect eyes during those long reading sessions. You can find these in the settings of the eReader, under the cog wheel icon in the left side bar. You can also select your font size and style, including Open Dyslexic. Highlights: Start with a 'deep hold' on the word you would like to start the highlight with. Drag until you want the highlight to finish. A colour palette will pop-up. To remove the highlight, click on it and then the colour palette will appear again. Press the X on the left.

Bookmarks: Click on the bookmark icon at the top of the page.

💡 Note: it is not currently possible to delete bookmarks via the app.

Notes: If you want to make a note, begin as if you are highlighting a section of text. When the colour palette appears there will be an option to either write or speak* a note. You'll see it later in your Notebook and be grateful you took the time to do so!

*Make sure dictation is enabled on your phone settings and you're good to go. Reach out to Customer Support if you need any help with that.
