Using Find in book

Step by step

Open the book you want to search, on a laptop or desktop browser.
Select the 🔍 magnifying glass icon on the left-hand side of the page, or press F on your keyboard. This opens the Find in book panel.
Type the exact word or phrase you're looking for.
Select a result to jump straight to that spot in the book, where the matching text is highlighted.

Find in book searches the full text of the book you have open, not just the page you're currently on.
As you type, Perlego shows a live count of matches (e.g. "94 results in book").
Results are grouped by chapter or section, each showing how many matches it contains. Select a chapter to expand it and see the individual matches, with a snippet of surrounding text.
Select any match to jump to that location in the book. The matching text is highlighted so it's easy to spot.
The tool is only available on laptop and desktop browsers at the moment.

Not currently available on mobile browsers (e.g. Safari or Chrome on your phone).
Not currently available on the Perlego app.
Support for mobile is planned for the future.
