❕ There's an issue with a book

Read the below and follow the steps to get this sorted out as quickly as possible.

Are you experiencing any issues with a book? This might include the book not loading, being stuck on a continuous loading screen, misplaced images, or an illegible font.

As a few first troubleshooting steps, you can try:

  1. Refresh the page. Sometimes a simple page reload can resolve minor loading issues.

  2. Log out on all devices and then log back in. This can also help activate your institutional access if applicable.

  3. Clear your cache and cookies, or try using a new incognito tab on your browser. Alternatively, you can manually remove browser data by navigating to your browser settings, going to Site Settings, and selecting Clear Data.

  4. Disable any VPNs or browser extensions temporarily to rule out interference.

  5. Open the book in a different browser (e.g., Firefox, Safari).

  6. Open the book on a different device (using the app can also help).

  7. Open the book on a different network connection (e.g., switch between WiFi and cellular).

  8. Restart your device to refresh the system.

  9. If using the Perlego app, try uninstalling and reinstalling the mobile app.

We also suggest checking that your operating system and browsers are up to date with the latest versions for the best performance.

Additionally, ensure your subscription is active. An expired subscription can restrict access to content. If you’re logging in through an institution, double-check that your institutional access has been properly enabled.

If you're using an older device (e.g., Windows 8), compatibility problems can occur with modern web applications like Perlego. Try using a browser like Firefox, which supports older systems better, and update the browser to the latest version possible.
